Last Day with the Family

Sorry i have been a bit behind with the blogs, its been hard to find an internet facility with a keyboard that doesn't drive me crazy!

But here i am with a chance to let you all know my news.

So last time i wrote i had just done Tikal and had been up since 4.20 am. As i mentioned it was a an awesome experience and i would recommend anyone who is coming to Tikal to stay in the national park like we did so that you can do sunset and sunrise without the crowds. We had a great guide who helped us to experience the jungle to its fullest- monkeys (the howler monkeys were incredible), birds, small jungle paths to see various things. Plus the most amazing steep sided temples. It was great to see all the tops of the temples sticking up through the canopy of the jungle.

Since Tikal we have travelled back into Belize, riding on the most crowded bus i have ever been on! But when we got to our destination - namely Placencia, Belize, we have done nothing but relax. Its a bit cloudy today which is a bit of a shame but yesterday we made the most of the sunshine. This afternoon we will al go to Dangriga to meet up with Ruth and Charles for the night. Tomorrow i will say goodbye to Mum, Dad and Kate who will head to Caye Caulker for a few days, and Ruth and I will start our 3 week rotation at Southern Regional Hospital in Dangriga.

It has been an awesome 2 and a half week of travel with the family and i am sad to see them go but ready for the next stage. We have visited some amazing natural and man made sights, had some adventures, eaten some delicious food and had an all round excellent time.

Till next time ....
