hey guys,
i don't think i have written a blog since joff and i returned from Central America- sorry about that. i could come up with lots of excuses but won't bore you with them. besides i think that joff has been doing a very good job.
so what is your news? my life has been pretty busy. 6 weeks ago i started back at the hospitals- my first placement being Infectious Diseases. It was such a great rotation- i had a great team to work with that made me want to put in the extra time, plus the medicine was really interesting. i spent 3 weeks on the speacialised HIV ward which was really incredible, i doubt i will ever get the chence to do something like that again unless i specialise in infectious diseases.
now that rotation is over though it is into the big bad world of surgery- which i am trying to get excited about as hard as it is! will keep you updates.
apart from that i have become wuite involved in the International Health Club, organising 2 fundraising events so far- one a movie night and the other a speech night at an Ethiopian restaurant. I encourage you all to give Ethiopian cuisine a go- its really yummy.
exercise has fallen by the wayside for the moment although joff and i did go for a friendly game of badminton on sunday. it is a fun game.
hmm, what else, not much really, i have been quite engrossed in infectious diseases lately.
