Trip to Sydney

Hey everyone, we are a bit slack on the photo front- sorry about that. But thought i should still put up a few pics from our weekend away with my family and Joff from a few weeks ago.

We went up to see the Paris Opera Ballet which was amazing. But apart from that we also got out and about and enjoyed the Sydney sunshine while sight seeing. Kate and I hadn't been to Sydney since we were younger and Joff had never been so it was a good oportunity to see the city.

Apart from that, life has been cruising along. We have had a few house guests- first Jonas who has moved over here from Auckland to study. And then Jen, a friend of a friend who was on my trip to Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore at the end of last year. It has been nice having the company and being out and about in Melbourne.

In ohter news i have launched straight into my Masters in Public Health and Tropical Medicine through James Cook University in Queensland via correspondance. The workload looks quite full on but the subjects are intersting and if it proves too much i will just slow down on the subject front. So far i am learning about the mosquito borne diseases and the effect of ozone loss on human health.... Stay tuned for more.

One more week left and Sandy doing med. It has been great and i will be sad to leave it behind. In the same breath though i am looking forward to Sale Emergency as it is supposed to be a brilliant rotation. Joff and i will hopefully get to do some weekend camping trips from there to the lakes.

Better go, got a bit to do before we head out to Phantom of the Opera tonight!
