Italy- Jauary 2008

Hi all! Joff has been doing a great job keeping this updated and i have been hopeless. But with a few days off in the lead up to night shift i have finally found some time to do all those little bits and pieces that i have been meaning to do- like update this!

I have added a few photos from my trip to Italy with my family. It was a great trip and we managed to cram heaps into my 3 week stint. We started in Venice and then made our way to Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Cinque Terre, Rome, Pompeii and Sorrento. Saw so many beautiful things, ate great food and drank delicious wine by night and coffee by day.

My highlights would have to be-
- the Cinque Terre; we had a beautiful sunny mild day with hardly any wind to walk the vilages and enjoyed a scrumptious lunch in one of the villages
- Climbing the Duomo at sunset in Florence and looking out over all the terracotta rooftops
- Galleria Borghese in Rome. They had an exhibition of Canova and Bernini which absolutely blew my mind, some of Bernini's sculpture looked as though it was going to come to life!


Since my return we have been busy making the most of the summer with BBQs, St Kilda Festival and walks around the lake. I am working in Children's Emergency out at Monash so doing funny hours but making the most of my time off.
