This is the plane that we took from Belize City to Punta Gorda. Despite our exhaustion after 48 hours travelling from Australia, we managed to appreciate the spectacular views over the reef, cayes, and jungle as we flew as the only passengers on the flight! Flying in style!

This is a picture of Punta Gorda town on Market Day. The streets are filled with many different ethnicities from the different villages in the area to sell their produce. We thought we bought some almonds but realised when we got home that they were cocao beans - but we now have a recipe for making the strongest hot chocolate imaginable!

This is Katie, another student, and I finishing up a mobile clinic in a small Mayan Village in Belize. We were absolutely exhausted after seeing 50 patients or so in a few hours, mainly kids. The children were gorgeous. You can't see in the photo but we were sweating profusely, it was such a hot day!!!

Ruth and I rode our bikes the 7 miles into town today from the clinic. Although it was a hot day it was beautiful riding along the waterfront and seeing the sights. Here is Ruth stopping for a photo and a break.

Finally, here is Ruth and I enjoying the sunshine in a little hut on the waterfront.
Tomorrow we are off on another mobile clinic to the village of Barranco, a Garifuna village. On the weekend we are going to explore a bit more of Belize and go to Tobacco Caye, a small caye surrounded by reef where we can relax for the weekend.
