The weekend was great. Got to Tobacco Caye at around 4.30pm and had a wander around (it takes 5 minutes to walk around the whole island!)
We were spoilt with delicious meals that we could never finish. Fish, chicken. Tortillas, lemon meringue pie!!! I think that we chose our cabanas well because other guests at other cabanas were going hungry!
It started pouring at about midnight on friday night and continued to rain off and on until midday saturday so we spent the morning playing scrabble and reading our books in hammocks under cover. Scrabble was interesting- we were playing with a Swiss guy named Matt so we allowed words in German, French, English, and Spanish. After our game we went snorkelling in the rain because we were worried it wouldn't clear and it would be our only opportunity!
But after lunch the rain cleared and the sun started shining so we were able to enjoy the sunshine, snorkel again and lie on the dock with a cool breeze relaxing in the sunshine. Snorkelling was great- we say a black and white spotted eagle ray which was cool and heaps and heaps of fish.
Its so great to be able to do these things on the weekends. Next weekend we are going to head off to Placencia.
