Just a quick one.
Spent sometimeat San Pedro on Lago Atitlan recovering from our 6 day hike. The lake is a beautiful spot, surrounded by volcanoes and tiny villages. San Padroitself is very laid back, full of gringos, but a nice place for ruth charles joff and i to meet up again and spend our last few days together before heading in different directions.
To get to the lake we took the most amazing chicken bus ride straight to the town on San Pedro rather than the usual route of via boat. The scenery as we descended on these steep roads, doing three point turns on sharp corners was amazing. The road was damamged from when Hurricane Stan came through in October, the ride exhibited the most damage that i have seen so far.
Today we left San Pedro and are spending a night back in Antigua. Tomorrow morning we will make the journey to Copan in Honduras, a journey that will most likely take us most of the day. It will be great to experience another country and see what honduras has to offer.
Only 2 weeks till we are back in Melbourne which is very exciting. We are both looking forward to being back but in the same breath plan to make the most of the next two weeks of travel.
Love to you all, glad to hear all the positive comments about our blog, we areboth really happy that you are enjoying it.

Sounds like you are having a great trip together, and that is really really cool. Very happy to be reading it.
Joff, you would have liked today - harvest day for the white wine.
Love
Mike
