My Dad has it so lucky- two celebrations always within days of each other!
First sunday.... Father's Day. We had a lovely Egan bash with all the family at Mum and Dad's house. Joff was unfortunately working for the day at the deli so he missed catching up with my uncle, aunt and two cousins (one of whom is my one and only godson!) who have just returned for 2 years living in NYC. Was a lovely day but after the housewarming the night before and all the kids (so not used to children! sorry!) i was exhausted!
Then Monday... Dad's birthday. After work we all met up at the State Theatre and went to see Trinity, a Royal NZ Ballet Production. There were 3 different pieces, all of which i loved. Very innovative and the dancers worked so well as a team, excellent choreography and synchronisation. I would recommend the preformance to anyone.
After dinner we headed to Taxi for a 7 course degustacion menu at the Melbourne famous restaurant. It was a delicious meal, each course ful of amazing flavours and including salmon, pork dumplings, seafood soup, barramundi, veal and dessert. we were all stuffed by the end of it despite the large plate small portion phenomenon.
Felt very sleepy this morning going to work after a very busy few days.
