Well, as the title suggests there were a few hiccups in joff getting over to his parent's boat launch on Monday. It seems that the flight he was on had a "situation" and consequently had to turn around and head back to Sydney.
From Joff's report there were 4 or 5 fire engines following them up the runway as they landed- pretty scary!
The next flight would have got into NZ well and truly after the launch and so disappointed joffy hoped back on a flight to Melbourne the next morning.
At least we know we will be heading over in the not too distant future!
Thankfully the windy awful weather melbourne experienced over the weekend seems to have cleared up and i am sitting in the sunshine feeling very spring like again.
Last night we headed off to a Medicins San Frontiers (Doctors without Borders) photographic exhibition. It was the opening night of an exhibition about The Democratic Republic of the Congo. 5 photographers went to DRC to photograph some of the conditions and try to bring to light the forgotten war. It is estimated that 3.8 million people have died during the civil war.
