Joff and i have just come back from a lovely weekend away to celebrate having three days off at the same time that happened to correspond with a long weekend and our anniversary. It is really the first time we have celebrated it and i tihnk we both know it made up for all the other years. We went to Daylesford. Initially we had planned to camp but the forecast for cold, rain and possibly hail left me wondering if there were any available B&Bs. We were lucky enough to find one, featured above and below.
Daylesford is at its best in the Autumn with the leaves turning the most amazing colours! Every shade of yellow, red, orange, burgandy, it was spectacular. We did lots of eating and had some amazing meals and wines!
Anyone venturing to Daylesford should stop at Cliffy's cafe. We went there today for lunch prior to driving back to melbourne. It was warm and cosy with lovely genuine staff and amazing food, we could have sat there all day!

looks like a lovely wee time away - maybe in a year or so when melina is a bit older mike and i might manage something similar :)
happy birthday for a while ago too joff, and the building projects look great. i've decide to go to a night class on woodworking, mainly because i want to build some compost bins! i was hammering in some nails today not very successfully and thinking i really need to get some professional help!
xx Christy
